St. Louis Based Mercy Selects Amitech as Automation Ally
July 15, 2021 (ST. LOUIS) – Amitech Solutions, an award-winning healthcare data, analytics and automation consulting firm, is honored to announce a continued strategic collaboration with Mercy, a health system headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. The collaboration began in 2019 when Mercy recognized robotic process automation (RPA) could relieve financial pressure by turning over many highly repetitive, manual workloads to RPA bots and deliver cost savings. During the pandemic, cost savings became more important than ever, and Mercy has been successfully scaling automation with Amitech’s support in RPA strategy, planning, and implementation.
The success of the Amitech and Mercy collaboration has come from a laser focus on business value. Together, the two organizations have successfully automated dozens of business processes across revenue cycle management, clinical operations, quality and safety, and other business areas. By deploying and scaling RPA for highly repetitive, manual processes, Amitech has helped Mercy realize $3 million in annualized cost savings and revenue benefits in the first year alone.
In addition to value directly for Mercy, the collaboration is accelerating the growth of Amitech’s Flint™ suite of intelligent healthcare automation solutions and delivering value to the broader healthcare industry. One example, the FlintRP™ solution for automated remittance posting, has already delivered enough savings for Mercy to pay back its investment and is now available to other healthcare providers as a standardized solution offering. Amitech’s Flint™ suite now covers solutions in multiple business areas including revenue cycle management, quality and safety, clinical operations, and care management.
“Mercy always has an eye out for innovative solutions like RPA that can help us move the needle. Amitech had the deep healthcare expertise and strong partnership with UiPath that we were seeking in an implementation partner,” said Mercy Director of Performance Consulting and Business Solutions Kelly Wibbenmeyer. “We knew they would be a quality organization to help us stand up RPA and build our automation center of excellence so we could focus on patient care.”
“Amitech is passionate about making healthcare better. With both companies headquartered in St. Louis and a strong alignment on mission, Mercy has a special place in our hearts. COVID-19 has impacted the healthcare industry so much over the past 12 months, it is an honor to help those who are working every day to fight this pandemic,” said Amitech Vice President of Innovation Paul Boal. “We are thrilled to have this collaboration and friendship. We are proud of what we have accomplished thus far and are looking forward to much more value and innovation in the years to come.”
