Amit Bhagat is a recognized industry thought leader, speaker and management consultant with a passion for applying advanced data analytics and change management strategies to solve the most pressing and persistent challenges in healthcare. Amit’s expertise lies at the intersection of data analytics and operations to improve organizational performance, create new operating models, help implement large organizational transformations, and develop new ways of improving profitability and growth.
Amit has twenty-plus years of experience in helping clients succeed by developing information management, governance, business intelligence, advanced analytics, organizational design and performance management strategies and solutions. In an era of increasing change, Amit has worked extensively with clients in healthcare organizations to develop and implement growth strategies as well as drive measurable improvement in their operational performance by combining complex and innovative information-based technology solutions, culture, people and processes, all working in concert.
As CEO of Amitech, Amit leads the firm’s client facing strategy and business development, and enjoys working with client executives in an advisory capacity to solve complex problems facing today’s healthcare industry.
Amit holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Strategy from Washington University in St. Louis, Olin School of Business, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, India.
Michael Demos is Chief Operating Officer for Amitech Solutions. As COO, Mr. Demos is responsible for operational excellence, process optimization, firm management, strategic initiatives, business performance, financial modeling, and professional recruitment. In addition, he serves as general counsel in specific corporate areas and oversees the Amitech Solutions Diversity Excellence Program.
As a local to St. Louis, Mr. Demos holds a J.D. with honors from Washington University (2007), as well as a bachelor of science with highest honors in chemical engineering (2004) from Washington University, where he graduated class valedictorian. Mr. Demos also holds an international M.B.A. with honors with specialization in finance and international business from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (2010) in Hong Kong, China while spending time in India, China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea.
Paul Boal serves as Amitech’s Vice President of Delivery, leading management of the delivery program, practice growth and maturity, and business development. Paul’s 15+ years of experience with healthcare information management and analytics solutions includes the development, promotion and implementation of enterprise strategies across a range of information management disciplines including enterprise data management, master data management, data warehousing and business intelligence, and custom analytics applications.
In addition to his position as an adjunct professor at both Washington University and St. Louis University, Mr. Boal is currently focused on helping healthcare companies adapt to an evolving industry via integrated big data and advanced analytics strategies and solutions, as well as leading the technical direction for Amitech’s IoT Population Health Management platform and Advanced Value-Based Contract Management solutions.
Jeff Hatfield has more than 25 years of experience developing business solutions for Fortune 100 partnerships. He provides clients a unique wealth of expertise and knowledge from work across numerous industries and disciplines including customer experience, data management maturity, digital transformation and management consulting.
Prior to joining Amitech, Mr. Hatfield served as the lead Client Services Executive at Perficient, where he was responsible for ensuring client satisfaction through quality execution and delivery, developing and cultivating client partnerships, and developing complex business and IT solutions. He is a seasoned business and organizational leader with decades of experience developing strong talent, leadership and client solutions. He has also previously served in top executive positions at Daugherty Business Solutions, Jordan Lawrence and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Mr. Hatfield holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, a B.S. in Finance from the University of Missouri Columbia and an M.B A. in International Business from St. Louis University.
As Vice President of Finance and Accounting, Robert Van Gilder brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare and technology industry to the Amitech executive team. Mr. Van Gilder is primarily responsible for financial operations and reporting, leading and coordinating the annual and long term planning process, tax and audit compliance, and pricing and financial analysis.
Mr. Van Gilder comes to Amitech from Livongo (formerly Retrofit), where he served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting. During his tenure, Mr. Van Gilder more than doubled gross margin, obtained substantial equity investment from a lead investor, and successfully executed Retrofit’s sale to Livongo in April 2018.
As Vice President Finance/Corporate Controller at Oak Street Healthcare, Mr. Van Gilder created the operational infrastructure necessary to transition from a fee-for-service to a value-based model, generating $30M in incremental annual revenues. He also played a key role in winning $60M in private equity investment from a large P/E firm.
Mr. Van Gilder has held previous leadership roles at Lumeris and CenturyLink (formerly Savvis). He holds a Bachelors in Business/Accounting from University of Missouri and a Masters in Business Administration from St. Louis University. He is a certified public accountant.
Sampada Coster is Director of Talent Management for Amitech Solutions. In this role, Ms. Coster is responsible for propelling Amitech’s hiring, development and engagement practices, while managing talent acquisition and talent management.
In addition, she also helps oversee Amitech’s Diversity Excellence Program. Ms. Coster has been with Amitech for over 5 years and has been instrumental in recruiting, human resources and accounting at Amitech. Ms. Coster has a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and received her B.A. in Psychology from University of Northern Iowa and M.S. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Valdosta State University.
With over 17 years experience in data and analytic solutions, Eric Keeney is Amitech’s Enterprise Information Management Practice Lead. Mr. Keeney leverages experience from the Publishing, Financial Services, Retail, and Health Care industries to solve data challenges and implement high value solutions. Having led development of solutions in data warehousing and dash-boarding, data integration at scale, master data management for Customer/Product, and big data e-commerce technology, Mr. Keeney combines his technical experience with lessons learned from building executive relationships and a strong business acumen thriving on solving the toughest data challenges. Mr. Keeney is focused on the growth and maturity of the information management practice at Amitech while providing implementation leadership.
Scott Lambert adds over 30 years of experience in healthcare innovation, technology and change management to Amitech’s executive team. In addition to the management of several key accounts, Mr. Lambert is also responsible for business development activities and senior level consulting services. Throughout his career, Mr. Lambert’s experience with emerging technology, data sources and patient engagement strategies has developed into a deep expertise with provider-side processes and challenges that serve to help Amitech clients successfully navigate the transformation of the healthcare industry.
Mr. Lambert holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University.
Amy Bates is the Recruitment Manager for Amitech Solutions. In her role, she connects with candidates in the healthcare analytics industry and builds strong relationships with the top professionals in the field, matching them with pivotal roles within the Amitech organization. These professionals become the key to Amitech’s mission to innovate and transform healthcare. Ms. Bates has been with Amitech for over five years.
Prior to joining Amitech, Ms. Bates recruited and placed hundreds of people in contract and permanent roles all over the country, mostly in information technology, but also in corporate roles, such as sales, marketing, and management. She has managed high-performing, highly successful recruiting teams in St. Louis. During her early career in Chicago and Los Angeles, she managed a large social service agency and owned an executive search firm, specializing in not-for-profit organizations. She has over 15 years of recruiting and staffing experience. Ms. Bates received her B.S. in Consumer Science from Miami University in Oxford.

Dr. Gaurov Dayal is an innovative physician leader who has over two decades of experience in health care. Dr. Dayal currently works as a senior advisor and consultant to Amitech Solutions where he assists clients in large-scale business transformation projects. He has served in senior leadership positions at leading US healthcare systems where he has been instrumental in spear – heading innovation and transformation. He has led initiatives across the spectrum of health care management including Clinical Informatics, Insurance, Physician Groups and Hospitals.
Dr. Dayal has wide-ranging experience in launching programs designed to improve the health of diverse populations. Most recently he served as President – Health Care Delivery, Finance and Integration for SSM Health (SSM), one of the leading integrated healthcare systems in the nation where he was responsible for transitioning SSM from a traditional hospital system to a value based provider. He had operational responsibility for Dean Health Plan, the largest HMO in Wisconsin; Navitus, a Pharmacy Benefits Manager, which operates in 38 states and SSM’s Centers of Clinical Analytics, Clinical Informatics, Patient Quality and Safety and Clinical Excellence. He also oversaw SSM’s initiatives around ACOs, CIN, Narrow networks, Managed Care contracting and Health exchanges. Prior to this role at SSM, he served as Interim CEO of SSM’s Wisconsin division and was appointed as SSM’s first system Chief Medical Officer.
In 2013, Dr. Dayal was named to the editorial advisory board for FierceHealthcare and was listed among the “100 Hospital and Health System Chief Medical Officers to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review. In 2014, he was appointed to MedCAC (Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee) and to the Health Care Transformation Taskforce, an industry consortium of payers, providers and purchasers that is seeking to accelerate the transformation to value based reimbursement.
A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Dayal received his M.D. from Northwestern University and completed his residency training at Washington University in St. Louis. Prior to SSM, he served as System CMO of Adventist Healthcare in Maryland and as management consultant for McKinsey and Co.
Mr. Chauhan has over 25 years of experience in General Management, Management Consulting, Technology Management, and Healthcare Startups. He implemented multiple, large-scale business turnaround and transformation projects resulting in sustainable change and bottom-line benefits for clients and his own companies by establishing high trust C-level relationships, hands-on operational control, and deep organizational engagement.
As CEO and General Manager of multiple companies, Mr. Chauhan has driven change in multiple challenging business situations. He knows what it takes to run and maintain control of the business while simultaneously implementing substantial change.
Matthew Harris has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience, including 15 years spend in healthcare and a decade focusing on emerging technology. Through his work in marketing analytics and senior leadership in two national health systems, both during the disruption of national health care reform and in the early stages of the informatics movement, Mr. Harris developed a strong insider’s awareness of the challenges facing healthcare. Previously, Mr. Harris was also engaged with many of the nation’s premier heath care providers as a managing director at top international advertising agency J Walter Thompson.
Most recently, Mr. Harris has focused on the technology space, with hands-on product development in enterprise software and SaaS platforms at American Express and in fintech / insurtech start-ups. Mr. Harris received his B.S. in Marketing from Missouri State and an M.B.A from Washington University Olin School of Business in St. Louis.
